On May 1, 2008, Jim Monroe was diagnosed with advanced metastasized Adenocarsonoma of the lungs. A lifetime Delaware County resident, Jim and his family are facing the challenge of rapidly mounting medical costs. With a large tumor in his left lung and the cancer spreading to every major organ, Jim no longer has the ability to work or even to participate in the activities he so enjoyed throughout his life. Walking has become a challenge at best and a painful chore on the bad days. His care and support is falling primarily to his daughter, Valerie, whom many of you know as a director and one of the finest stage managers in our local community theaters.

To that end, we are throwing a Benefit Extravaganza
Help defray the cost of medical treatment and cost of living for Jim’s family.
